CRITICAL CARE

The Need:
Critical Care Nephrology community is under represented in the current professional critical care and nephrology societies and associations. Despite Acute Kidney injury being prevalent >20% in ICU patients, <3% of ICU physicians in USA are nephrologists. Outcomes for AKI are relatively unchanged despite recent advances and increased healthcare outlays in ICU. Hence the need for evolution of improved patient cares models and multi-disciplinary critical care approach.

ACCN aims to bridge nephrology and critical care and a voice for critical care nephrologists and advocate for ICU patients with renal failure who would benefit from multi-disciplinary collaborations and seamless care.
